Correction & Retraction Policy

Synergy Publication is committed to preserving the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the scholarly record. Honest errors, accidental omissions, or scientific misconduct can occur, and we have established clear guidelines to address these issues transparently.

1. Corrections (Errata and Corrigenda)

If a minor, honest error is discovered in a published article that does not affect the scientific conclusions (such as a spelling mistake in an author's name, an incorrect email address, or a typo in a table column), we will publish a correction notice.

  • Erratum: Published if the error was introduced by the publisher during production.
  • Corrigendum: Published if the error was made by the authors.
The correction notice will be linked directly to the original article, which will remain online.

2. Expressions of Concern

An Expression of Concern may be published by the Editor-in-Chief if:

  • There is inconclusive evidence of research or publication misconduct by the authors.
  • There is a strong suspicion that the findings are unreliable, but the authors' institution refuses to investigate or the investigation is inconclusive.
This alerts the scientific community while investigations are ongoing.

3. Retractions

Following COPE guidelines, an article will be formally retracted if:

  • There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either due to scientific misconduct (data fabrication, image manipulation) or honest error (miscalculation).
  • The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing or justification.
  • The work constitutes plagiarism or infringes upon intellectual property rights.
  • The research was conducted unethically or without necessary ethical clearance.
A formal Retraction Notice will be published, explaining the reason for retraction, and the original article page will be marked clearly as "RETRACTED".
