Article Processing Charges (APCs) & Waiver Policy
Synergy Publication operates on an open-access model, meaning all published articles are instantly and permanently accessible to anyone, anywhere. To sustain open-access publishing, cover production costs, and maintain professional infrastructure, we charge a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC) upon manuscript acceptance.
Why Do We Charge APCs?
Unlike traditional publishers, we do not charge subscription fees or paywalls. APCs are used directly to fund:
- Editorial Operations: Managing peer review coordination, system maintenance, and plagiarism checks.
- Production & Layout: Formatting manuscripts into professional PDF and HTML versions, preparing figures, and copyediting.
- Digital Preservation: Allocating CrossRef DOIs, metadata deposits, XML conversions, and database indexing.
- Web Hosting: Storing publications on high-speed, secure servers.
APC Fee Structure
Our nominal charges depend on the author's residency status and affiliation:
- Domestic Authors (India): INR 6,000 per accepted manuscript.
- International Authors: USD 250 per accepted manuscript.
There are no submission fees; APCs are charged **only** after the manuscript passes peer review and is formally accepted for publication.
Fee Waiver and Discount Program
We believe that financial constraints should never prevent the publication of high-quality research. Synergy Publication offers waivers and discounts under the following circumstances:
- Low-Income Economies: Authors from countries classified as low-income economies by the World Bank receive a **100% waiver** on APCs.
- Lower-Middle-Income Economies: Authors from lower-middle-income economies are eligible for a **50% discount**.
- Student Researchers: Underfunded students or researchers without institutional support can apply for a waiver during submission by providing an official letter from their department head.
